Who We Are

The Air Force Association's mission is to advocate aerospace power and a strong national defense; to support the United States Air Force and the Air Force Family; and to promote aerospace education to the American people.

Founded in 1946, AFA is an independent, nonprofit organization with over 130,000 members and more than 200 chapters. Our members include Air Force enlisted, officers, civilians, Reserve and Guard, veterans, cadets, Civil Air Patrol and thousands of others.

We invite you to join us if you are not already a member. Members receive AIR FORCE Magazine, a must-read aerospace and defense publication, news on national symposia, programs and many other valuable benefits.
