AFA is proud to bring you a full day of speakers, panels, resources, and working discussions on issues facing Air Force families today. This year’s Spouse and Family Forum, held alongside the Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition on Monday, September 16, is aimed at empowering spouses. Lunch is included. There will be a separate line at registration for Forum attendees.

Q. Is this Forum just for Air Force spouses?
A. No. The information and empowerment we're providing is aimed to help all military spouses, with a focus on the Total Air Force Family.

A. Yes! We’ll have a working lunch when you’ll get to network with other spouses!
Q. How do I register?
A. We recommend registering online, but we will also have a separate line at the registration desk day-of for walk-ins. Please be sure to check in with us between 8-9 am on September 16.
Q. How do I get to the Gaylord National Harbor?
A. There is parking available onsite, but we suggest taking one of the free shuttles provided for transportation to and from the Pentagon, Andrews AFB, Bolling AFB, and the King Street Metro. The current schedule can be found here. If you choose to park, you can self-park at the Gaylord for $12 per day (for one entrance/exit per day). In order to take advantage of the $12 offer, you will need to stop by the Parking Desk located near AFA Registration during between 7 am and 8 pm to pre-pay for your parking.
Q. What is the dress code?
A. Attire for all Forum and conference sessions is Business Suit/Service Dress. If you are visiting our Exhibit Hall the dress is Business Suit/Uniform of the Day. The Outstanding Airmen of the Year Dinner is Business Suit/Service Dress. The Anniversary Dinner is Black-Tie/Mess Dress.
Q. What is the Outstanding Airmen Dinner?
A. This dinner on September 16 recognizes Airmen from all major air commands and operating agencies that have displayed the Air Force values within their fields. The outstanding airmen were chosen from nominations made by all Air Force Commands based on their “unique, unusual or outstanding individual involvement and achievement within the proceeding 12 months”. Dress for this event is business suit/service dress. Individual tickets can be purchased for $310.
Q. What is the Air Force Anniversary Dinner?
A. This dinner on September 18 recognizes achievements made by members of the Air Force, industry and the government. During the dinner the awards that will be given out include; the Lifetime Achievement Award, the John R. Allison Award, the W. Stuart Symington Award and the H. H. Arnold Award. Dress for this event is black-tie/mess dress. Individual tickets can be purchased for $330.
