Air Force Magazine Honored by Society of Professional Journalists Chapter
Air Force Magazine was recognized by the DC Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists on June 9 at the National Press Club, in Washington, DC. Several members of the Air Force Magazine staff attended a reception in honor of all nominees where they received various accolades:
First place winners and finalists were chosen to be honored in each category of the regional competition.
The Society of Professional Journalists is a national organization dedicated to improving and protecting journalism since its inception in 1909. In addition to its advocacy and educational efforts, it is the keeper of the internationally known code of ethics.
Air Force Magazine's John Tirpak Named Honorable Mention By TABPI
Air Force Magazine's Editorial Director John Tirpak was named an honorable mention by Trade Association Business Publication(TABPI) International. Tirpak's August 2015 article "Saving the Legacy of the Lafayette Escadrille" ranked in the top 20 of 400 entries.
