Major General Roger W. Burg
Major General Roger W. Burg is Director of Strategic Security, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Air
and Space Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, DC. He is responsible for providing policy
guidance, expertise and oversight to the Air Force nuclear, space, force protection, counterproliferation
and homeland defense programs. Prior to assuming his current position, General Burg was assigned to the
White House, where he served as the Director for Nuclear Policy and Arms Control on the National Security
Council. The general has commanded an ICBM squadron, an operations group and a space wing. He is a master
space and missile officer, and a fully qualified joint specialty officer.
General Bruce A. Carlson
General Bruce Carlson serves as Commander, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force
Base, Ohio. The command conducts research, development, test and evaluation, and provides
acquisition management services and logistics support necessary to keep Air Force weapon systems
ready for war. Prior to assuming his current position, General Carlson served as the Commander,
8th Air Force, Barksdale Air Force Base, Louisiana, and Joint Functional Component Commander for
Space and Global Strike, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. The general is
a command pilot with more than 3,000 flying hours, and has combat experience in the OV-10.

Lieutenant General Michael A. Hamel
Lieutenant General Michael A. Hamel is Commander, Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Space Command, Los
Angeles Air Force Base, California. General Hamel is responsible for managing the research, design, development,
acquisition and sustainment of space and missile systems, launch, command and control, and operational satellite
systems. He oversees more than 6,500 employees nationwide and an annual total budget in excess of $10 billion.
General Hamel is the Air Force Program Executive Officer for Space and is responsible for the Air Force Satellite
Control Network; space launch and range programs; the Space-Based Infrared System Program; military satellite
communication programs; the Global Positioning System; intercontinental ballistic missile programs; Defense
Meteorological Satellite Program; the space superiority system programs and other emerging transformational space
programs. Prior to his current position, General Hamel commanded the 14th Air Force "Flying Tigers," and was
responsible for all U.S. Air Force space forces and operations as well as the execution of assigned U.S.
Strategic Command’s space operations.

Alexis Livanos
Alexis Livanos is Corporate Vice President and President of Northrop Grumman's Space Technology sector. In this
role, he is responsible for the operations of the sector, which develops a broad range of systems at the leading
edge of space, defense, and electronics technology. Livanos also serves on the company's Corporate Policy Council.
Prior to this assignment, Livanos served as Sector Vice President and Divisions General Manager, Systems
Development and Technology and Space Sensors Divisions for the company's Electronic Systems sector. Prior to
joining Northrop Grumman in 2003, Livanos served as Executive Vice President of Boeing Satellite Systems.
Throughout his career, Livanos has participated in the successful launch of 41 satellites.

General Lance W. Lord
General Lance W. Lord is Commander, Air Force Space Command, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. He is responsible
for the development, acquisition and operation of the Air Forces space and missile systems. The general oversees
a global network of satellite command and control, communications, missile warning and launch facilities, and
ensures the combat readiness of Americas intercontinental ballistic missile force. He leads more than 39,700
space professionals who provide combat forces and capabilities to North American Aerospace Defense Command and
U.S. Strategic Command. Prior to assuming his current position, General Lord was the Assistant Vice Chief of
Staff for Headquarters U.S. Air Force.

Joanne Maguire
Joanne Maguire was appointed Deputy of Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company in July 2003. In this capacity she
assists the executive vice president of Space Systems with the full range of general management duties.
Previously, she also served as the company’s Vice President, Special Programs, focusing on sensitive national
security space system developments. Prior to joining Lockheed Martin, Maguire served as the Deputy and Vice
President of Business Development for TRW Space & Electronics, now Northrop Grumman Space Technology. She serves
on the Board of Directors of the Space Foundation and is a member of the AIAA and the Society of Women Engineers.

Mr. George K. Muellner
George Muellner is Boeing’s Vice President and General Manager of Air Force Systems for Integrated
Defense Systems. He is responsible for all air and space systems and system-of-systems programs the
company is conducting for the U.S. Air Force. Prior to this assignment, Muellner was president of
Phantom Works, Boeing’s advanced research and development unit, dedicated to improving the quality,
performance and affordability of Boeing products and services through technology development, process
improvement and new product development. He served 31 years in the US Air Force, retiring as a lieutenant
general. A highly decorated veteran, Muellner spent most of his career as a fighter pilot and fighter
weapons instructor, test pilot and commander. He flew combat missions in Vietnam and commanded the Joint
STARS deployment during Operation Desert Storm.

The Honorable Ronald M. Sega
Dr. Ronald M. Sega is Under Secretary of the Air Force, Washington, DC. Dr. Sega is responsible for all actions
of the Air Force on behalf of the Secretary of the Air Force and is acting Secretary in the Secretary's absence.
In that capacity, he oversees the recruiting, training and equipping of more than 710,000 people, and a budget of
approximately $110 billion. Designated the Department of Defense Executive Agent for Space, Dr. Sega develops,
coordinates and integrates plans and programs for space systems and the acquisition of all DoD space major defense
acquisition programs. Prior to this, he served as the Director of Defense Research and Engineering, Office of the
Secretary of Defense. Dr. Sega is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy and his active-duty assignments included
instructor pilot and Department of Physics faculty member at that institution. He entered the Air Force Reserve in
1982 and retired as a major general and command pilot with more than 4,000 flying hours. Dr. Sega joined NASA as
an astronaut in 1990, making two shuttle flights in 1994 (Discovery) and 1996 (Atlantis). He completed his
astronaut tenure with 420 hours in space.
