AFA Salutes Air National Guard and Employers
Arlington, Virginia – The Air National Guard and Employers of guardsmen will receive Air Force
Association awards on September 25, 2006 at the Air & Space Conference 2006 Opening and Awards Ceremonies in Washington, D.C.
A traditional Air National Guards officer and enlisted member and their civilian employers in
will be honored for their patriotism with the Air National Guard George W. Bush Award.
Col. (Dr.) Dean L. Winslow, chief flight surgeon, Delaware Air National Guard, and his civilian
employer, the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, San Jose, Calif., represented by the chief medical officer, Dr. Alfonso

Each G.W. Bush Award recipient will receive a $500 AFA check and plaque, made possible by
contributions from William W. Spruance. The Air National Guard also provides a Minute Man statue to the guardsmen and framed
painted pictures to the employers.
