"Forging the Interdependent Force: The Path Ahead"

The Air Force Association will conduct its 22nd annual Air Warfare Symposium, February 2-3, 2006, at the Buena Vista Palace Hotel in Orlando, Florida. Speakers at the symposium will include Secretary of the Air Force Michael W. Wynne, US Air Force Chief of Staff General T. Michael Moseley, Principal Deputy Director of National Intelligence General Michael V. Hayden, Commander of Air Force Space Command General Lance W. Lord, Commander of Pacific Air Forces General Paul V. Hester, Commander of Air Combat Command General Ronald E. Keys, and Commander of U.S. Air Forces in Europe General William T. Hobbins.

In an era of shrinking budgets, aging weapons systems and high operations tempo in the Global War on Terror, the Air Force is being called on to make hard decisions in balancing its portfolio of capabilities. Central to guaranteeing mission success in the future will be the military’s ability to forge an interdependent force. The services must find new ways to work together and share resources. Today, the Air Force flies and fights as a member of a joint team. Joint warfighters know they can count on the service to do its part in a rapidly changing world.
