Reservists, Guardsmen and Employers Recognized by the Air Force Association

Arlington, Virginia – Traditional Air Force reservists and Air National Guardsmen and their employers will be receiving Air Force Association and Aerospace Education Foundation awards on September 13, 2004, at the Air & Space Conference 2004 Opening and Awards Ceremonies in Washington, D.C. The awards are given to an outstanding officer and enlisted member and employers who actively support their employees’ military service.

The Air Force Reserve Citizen Airman Award will be presented to 2Lt Eric Turner, 919th Special Operations Wing, Eglin AFB, Fld 3, Fla.; and his employer; the Henry County Board of Commissioners Juvenile Court, McDonough, Ga. Mr. Earl Parker, Chief Juvenile Probation Officer will represent Henry County.

MSgt. Thomas S. Haddock, a load master and instructor with the 711th Special Operations Squadron and his employer, Lockheed Martin Systems Management, Marlton, N.J. The company president, John J. Freeh will also receive the Citizen Airman award.

SMSgt. Jeffrey R. Lane of the Maine Air National Guard and his employer, Wright Express, South Portland, Maine, represented by Paul MacDonald, Manager, Inside Sales will receive the ANG George W. Bush Award.

Lt Col Timothy P. Clary of the Missouri ANG and his employer, Dr. Michael P. Jones of the Atchison Family Medicine, Atchison, Kan. will also receive the George W. Bush Award.

Each award recipient receives a $500 Aerospace Education Foundation check, made possible by contributions from Foundation trustee William W. Spruance and an anonymous AFA national director. The award also includes an AFA plaque and engraved Eagle. The Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard will also make award presentations to the recipients at the ceremony.
