AFA Supports Today’s Decision by Air Force Leaders

Arlington, VA – The Air Force Association (AFA) today released the following statement in response to the announced disciplinary actions taken by the Air Force.

The Air Force Association supports today’s regrettable but necessary decision by Air Force leadership. The actions announced are part of a larger effort to keep the Air Force focused on reflecting the core values of integrity first, service before self and excellence in all we do. Although in a time of transition, the Air Force is moving forward in the right way at the right time.

The focus of today’s action is properly on what is right for our country, our national defense, the future of the Air Force and the superb men and women that serve the cause of freedom every day. The U.S. Air Force is critical to the success of our military and the Global War on Terror, and must move to put corrective practices in place. This decision speeds that process. It is with great pride in their dedication that we strongly support our Airmen serving across the globe.
