AFA Remembers Pearl Harbor
Arlington, VA – The Air Force Association (AFA) today released the following statement on the anniversary of the attacks on Pearl Harbor:
“On this day in 1941, the aerial attack on Pearl Harbor launched the U.S. into World War II. Today, we honor those who served on that historic day, and the great national effort of the four years that followed to defeat the Axis forces. We remember those who served our nation, and those who gave their lives for the cause of freedom.
“Pearl Harbor Day is always a stirring reminder of the dedication of the men and women of our Armed Forces. In serving, they accept the possibility of personal risk, and we owe them our support and gratitude.”
