AFA Announces 2010 National Aerospace Awards
Arlington, VA – The Air Force Association (AFA) is pleased to announce award recipients for the National Aerospace Awards program.
Many of the awards will be presented at ceremonies during AFA’s 2010 Air & Space Conference and Technology Exhibition scheduled for September 13-15, at the Gaylord National Hotel and Convention Center.

Among this year’s highlights:
- The H. H. Arnold Award to Lieutenant General David A. Deptula
- The John R. Alison Award to Raytheon Company
- The W. Stuart Symington Award to Dr. John J. Hamre
- The AFA Lifetime Achievement Awards to
- General Lawrence A. Skantze, USAF (Ret),
- WASP (Women Airforce Service Pilots)
- Mr. Andrew W. Marshall
- Colonel Walter J. Boyne, USAF (Ret)
- The AFA Chairman’s Aerospace Education Award to USA TODAY
Presenters at the Opening and Awards Ceremonies on September 13th include Secretary of the Air Force Michael B. Donley, Chief of Staff of the Air Force General Norton A. Schwartz, Commanders from the Air Force’s Major Commands and AFA’s Chairman of the Board Joseph Sutter.
