Commander of Air Combat Command to Speak at AFA November Breakfast Session

Arlington, VA – AFA announces that General William M. Fraser III, Commander of Air Combat Command, will be the guest speaker for the November session of the AFA Air Force Breakfast Program Series, to be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2010, from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., at the Sheraton Crystal City Hotel.

ACC operates more than 1,000 aircraft, 22 wings, 13 bases, and more than 300 operating locations worldwide with 79,000 active-duty and civilian personnel. The command provides conventional and information warfare forces to all unified commands to ensure air, space and information superiority for warfighters and national decision-makers.

Gen. Fraser is also the Air Component Commander for U.S. Joint Forces Command. As commander, he is responsible for organizing, training, equipping and maintaining combat-ready forces for rapid deployment and employment while ensuring strategic air defense forces are ready to meet the challenges of peacetime air sovereignty and wartime defense.

He has commanded an operations group and two bomb wings. He has served as Chief of the Nuclear Requirements Cell at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Chief of Staff for U.S. Strategic Command, and as the Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Prior to his current position, he served as the Air Force Vice Chief of Staff.

The Air Force Breakfast Program is a monthly series that provides a venue for senior Air Force and Department of Defense leaders to communicate directly with the public and the press.
