AFA Supports Congressional Military Family Caucus
Arlington, VA – The Air Force Association (AFA) today applauded the early efforts of the Congressional Military Family Caucus.
The Caucus began in November with 76 initial Members in Congress and is beginning its first year on Capitol Hill. The Caucus focuses on the many needs unique to military families.
“Every military family makes a special commitment to our country, and deserves consideration in the policies enacted by Congress,” said Joe Sutter, Chairman of the Board for AFA. “AFA is pleased with this initiative on the Hill. Members of Congress will be well served by an effort to distribute more information about the needs these families face, and services that can be improved.”
“There are real sacrifices for family members of anyone in the Armed Forces,” said Mike Dunn, President of AFA. “Americans honor those who serve, and are committed to taking care of our veterans, but we can do a better job of recognizing and helping military families. The Congressional Military Family Caucus is a good step toward doing more for these families, and getting word to them about services that are available.”
