AFA’s Spring Conference to Highlight Cyberspace
Conference Highlights Cyber with Discussions, Exhibits, Competition – and now Career Fair

Arlington, VA – The Air Force Association’s newest event, the CyberFutures Conference and Technology Exposition, will explore cyberspace with energetic discussions, the latest in information technology and education – and now includes a career fair for job seekers.

AFA has partnered with the leading military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary to produce a career fair on April 1 that will feature prominent aerospace/defense firms. Many companies will be recruiting for cyber tech openings as well as other available positions. Representatives of educational institutions will be on hand to discuss their courses in cyber technology and other course and degree options. The career fair will be free, and open to all men and women - veterans and non-veterans - who are interested in careers in cyber technology and related fields.

Themed “New Strategies for a New Domain,” the CyberFutures Conference will be held March 31 – April 1, 2011, at the Gaylord National Hotel, in National Harbor, Maryland, just minutes from downtown Washington. The nation’s top IT and cyber leaders from industry, government and the military will share their thoughts and strategies for managing the pronounced new challenges the cyber domain presents to every organization. Attendees will learn about the risks and vulnerabilities associated with operating in a cyber world full of hackers, bad actors and technological complexities, as well as how to mitigate those risks and defeat vulnerabilities. Learn more about the symposium and speakers at www.afa.org/events/CyberPatriot/2011/default.asp.

In conjunction with the CyberFutures, CyberPatriot III, the national high school cyber defense competition designed to increase students’ awareness in cyber security and technology, will be hosting their championship round. After six exciting months and several preliminary rounds of competition, the students will participate in one more challenge, culminating with an award ceremony for top winners in each division.
