AFA Releases 2007 Annual Report
Highlights Successful Year’s Activities and Events

Arlington, VA – The Air Force Association today released the 2007 Annual Report highlighting a successful year’s activities and events.

The Annual Report details AFA’s three major professional development events that attracted more than 10,000 people and more than 175 exhibitors, and highlights the year’s many developments, including the addition of “Notes from the President,” and plans for the future of AFA. It also outlines the numerous scholarships and grants through which AFA supports aerospace education, and the many ceremonies at the Air Force Memorial that attracted more than a quarter-million visitors in 2007.

“The highlight of the 60th Anniversary Celebration was our Air and Space Conference, which was held in conjunction with the Global Air Chiefs Conference in Washington, D.C.,” said Bob Largent, AFA Chairman of the Board, and Mike Dunn, AFA President, in a letters to members.

Along with a detailed financial report, the 48-page Annual Report contains an outstanding list of award recipients, interesting historical facts and AFA’s Top Issues and Statement of Policy. Finally, it includes opportunities and information about becoming a member or supporting AFA’s mission.

The Air Force Association is a 501(C)(3), independent, nonpartisan, nonprofit organization promoting public understanding of aerospace power and the pivotal role it plays in the security of the nation. AFA has more than 200 chapters nationally and internationally representing about 125,000 members. The AFA Annual Report includes the activities of the Air Force Memorial Foundation and the AFA Veteran Benefits Association.

AFA’s mission is to EDUCATE the public about the critical role of aerospace power in the defense of the nation, ADVOCATE aerospace power and a strong national defense and SUPPORT the United States Air Force and the Air Force family.
