Air Force Association Announces 2004 Aerospace Award Recipients
Arlington, VA., July 13, 2004 – The Air Force Association (AFA) has announced the recipients of its
annual national aerospace awards. The awards will be officially presented to winners at local events and
during ceremonies at the Air & Space Conference, scheduled for September 13-15, 2004 at the Marriott
Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C.
Commenting on this year’s winners, AFA Chairman of the Board John J. Politi said, “We can never thank the
men and women who serve in our military enough. In today’s global war on terrorism, they make great
sacrifices to help protect and defend the freedoms we enjoy.”
“Additionally, we appreciate the many dedicated Air Force Association members who volunteer in local and
state chapters in the U.S and around the world. Everyday, they continue to expand the support for Airmen and
the Air Force’s role in national defense and help educate the public on air and space power, something our
predecessors—which include Generals H. Hap Arnold and Jimmy Doolittle—began in 1945,” Politi added.
In addition to the top awards to civilian, military and industry leaders, AFA will recognize Air Force
