Media Advisory December 18, 2000 Air Force Association Partners with SpeakOut.com SpeakOut.com, the leading non-partisan political activism web site, announced a partnership with the Air Force Association (AFA) today that for the first time allows AFA’s 147,000 members to voice their opinions from the AFA web site on a broad spectrum of defense issues from military quality of life to force modernization. Formed in 1946, AFA is an independent, nonprofit, civilian aerospace organization that promotes public understanding of aerospace power and national defense. AFA members will be able to view a brief synopsis of an issue and then send instant email messages to their Congressional representatives to help build support for AFA policy positions. SpeakOut.com partners with a wide array of organizations and advocacy groups, public and private, to utilize the power of the Internet to effect change. The AFA site is accessible through http://www.afa.org or http://www.SpeakOut.com. SpeakOut’s Activism Tools are provided to its partners free of charge.
