Comcast Newsmakers recently sat down with Craig McKinley, AFA President, to discuss the upcoming Air Force Association Cycling Classic. AFA will partner with Arlington Sports to host the annual 2013 Air Force Association Cycling Class on June 8-9 in Arlington, Va. The AFA Wounded Airman Program will be the sole official beneficiary and will receive a portion of the funds raised from the event.     Saturday, May 18, 1968 -- In response to a massive flood, the Air Force airlifts 88.5 tons of food and other supplies to Ethiopia.
 
    Wednesday, May 18, 1994 -- Northrop acquires Grumman to form Northrop Grumman Corporation.
 
    Tuesday, May 19, 1908 -- Signal Corps Lt. Thomas E. Selfridge becomes the first soldier to fly a heavier-than-air machine.
 
    Saturday, May 20, 1939 -- Regularly scheduled trans-Atlantic passenger and airmail service begins.
 
    Saturday, May 21, 1927 -- The first solo nonstop transatlantic flight is completed by Charles A. Lindbergh in the Ryan NYP Spirit of St. Louis: New York to Paris in 33 hours, 32 minutes.
