South Carolina Sword of Excellence Award

Wade Hampton High School Detachment SC-954 was the winner if the 2009 Sword of Excellence Award. Each year, AFA South Carolina presents the Sword of Excellence Award, a traveling award, to the Outstanding AFJROTC Detachment of the Year. After a lively competition, the Detachment winner is permitted to display the award at their high school for the year. Twenty-five cadets travelled by bus from across the state to see the presentation of the Award.
