Hurlburt Chapter VP Provides Teachers With Aerospace Vehicles

John Jogerst, Vice President of Aerospace Education for the Hurlburt Chapter has a unique talent. He designs and builds all types of aerospace vehicles for area teachers. Jogerst began building straw rocket launchers for teachers last year. He then found several websites that featured model airplanes made of paper, which he adapted to fit onto his straw rocket launchers.

During his searches through the web for other model airplanes he came across designs for various space vehicles to include satellites, rockets, and space stations. He made all of those, plus many more he has handed out to teachers in the area. The most fascinating thing is that they are all made out of paper and the occasional wire or stick. Designs are downloaded and printed on a color copier and then carefully cut, rolled, folded and glued together to create literal works of art.
