Schlitt Attends Air Force STEM Conference
Sandy Schlitt, Vice Chairman of the Board, Aerospace Education, attended an Air Force wide Stem Conference on September 23 at the Air Force Academy. This conference was widely attended by the Air Force Senior Pentagon staff, AFIT, the Air Force Research Lab and other effected areas of the STEM workforce. The following day, key players remained to begin work on a STEM workforce roadmap. A briefing by Natalie Crawford was given on the study she conducted with George Muellner on STEM, as requested by the Air Force and sponsored by the National Academies. The draft STEM roadmap is scheduled for completion in October with the published roadmap due out in December.
