Great Lakes Region President Arranges STEM Conference

John McCance, Great Lakes Region President, brokered a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) conference that was held at the Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI) on March 20. McCance contacted Dr. Michael Heil, President and Chief Executive Officer of OAI, to arrange facilities for Cadet Colonel Donald Kinnee, Area VI commander of Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps Detachment 380 at Western Michigan University, and thirty cadets from across Region VI.

McCance attended the meeting while other AFA leaders from the Great Lakes Region participated via conference call.

Cadets discussed STEM, teaching techniques and the Ohio Space Grant Consortium.
