National Aerospace Awards for Presentation in 2008

It's time to begin a new National Aerospace Awards program year! We have already been busy. Notices have been sent to our Points of Contacts (POCs) including guidelines for the award process. This cycle of awards is for accomplishments in the calendar year 2007. Most awards will be presented at our 2008 Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition's Opening and Awards Ceremony.

Many of the National Aerospace Awards are covered in AFI 36-28. Our POCs have already begun soliciting nominations by sending notices to MAJCOMs, FOAs (field operating agencies) and DRUs (direct reporting units). Most POCs will have suspense dates for submission of nominations to them in the first quarter of 2008. POCs are to submit award packages to AFA by May 1, 2008.

We greatly appreciate the time taken to help us recognize excellence in the men and women who perform so well in helping defend our national and keep our Air Force strong.
