Specialty License Plate for the U. S. Air Force
Some states have been successful in providing for a U.S. Air Force registration plate in their state. You are encouraged to do this in your
state if you don’t already have one.
The Richmond Chapter has started a campaign for a United States Air Force specialty license plate for Virginia residents. A bill will be
introduced in the General Assembly in January 2011. The bill won’t go forward unless 350 paid applications are collected by December 15, 2010.
If 350 paid applications are not collected by the deadline, the fee will be refunded to applicants.
All Virginia residents who have ever served in the active duty Air Force, the Air Force Reserve, the Air National Guard or the Civil Air Patrol
are eligible to order this plate. The cost is $10 per year for a non-personalized plate or $20 per year for a personalized plate (new or
existing).
