New Deadline for Chapter Recruited Members
In June 2010, AFA is switching to a new membership database, iMIS, for all of our membership, fundraising, conference, and financial records
here at headquarters. One of the reasons we chose iMIS is its ability to help us better serve our chapters through reports, rebate procedures,
membership demographics, and much more. However, this new software, while very powerful, imposes new constraints for all of us. iMIS serves
as an accounts receivable (AR) application which creates new financial processing procedures that the AFA staff must follow. All membership
forms and payments must now be received at the same time.
To ensure that chapter recruited memberships are credited in the appropriate month, all completed membership forms and payments must be
received at AFA headquarters NO LATER THAN the 25th of each month. Anything received after the 25th will be credited to the following month.
Please note that any corrections or changes to chapter recruited goals must be received by this deadline as well.
June 2010 marks the start of this new business practice. Please note that this is also the end of our membership quarter and the membership
year for recruitment awards. Any membership applications received after June 25 will be credited for July. We will be happy to provide a
listing of your current chapter recruited members for the month or quarter. To request this information or for any other questions, please
