AFA Nominees for 2008-2009
The Nominating Committee met in Dallas, TX, on April 18, 2008, and selected a slate of candidates for the five national
officer positions and three elective positions on the Board of Directors. The Committee consists of the three most recent
past Chairmen of the Board, one representative selected by each of the Vice Chairmen of the Board (Aerospace Education and
Field Operations), two representatives from the Central geographic area, one representative from each of the regions in the
West and East geographic areas and one person representing each of the following constituencies – Total Air Force, Air Force
veterans and aerospace industry. The slate will be presented to the delegates at the National Convention in Washington D.C.
in September.
The candidates’ names together with a brief thumbnail of their AFA background (except for incumbents who are unopposed)
are below. Further biographical information will be in a future edition of Newsline and in the August issue of AIR FORCE
