Region and State Presidents Meeting

Thirteen regions and 26 state organizations were represented at the annual Region and State Presidents Meting, held in Arlington, Virginia, on October 16-18, hosted by Vice Chairman of the Board, Field Operations, Jim Lauducci.

Attendees heard presentations in three groups. AFA President/CEO Mike Dunn led the professional staff in discussing Headquarters activities and perspectives as they relate to the Field.

Vice Chairman of the Board, Aerospace Education, led presentations on the work of the Aerospace Education Council and a workshop that shared individual state approaches to Aerospace Education. Representatives from Texas, Utah and Virginia participated.

The balance of the meeting focused on Field Issues, principally the new planning and payment procedures which will be in place for 2009. Scott Van Cleef, former member of the Field Council and newly-elected National Director reprised the Planning Workshop he had conducted at the National Convention in September.
