Delegate Workshops at the Air & Space Conference

Legacy Aerospace Education Programs — Monday September 24 at 2:10 p.m.

This workshop will assist State and Chapter leaders in understanding the legacy aerospace education programs which were originated by the Aerospace Education Foundation and which continue in the new AFA. Highlights include a presentation on the Visions of Exploration program, Space Camp scholarships and Educator Grants. Time will be left at the end of the formal presentations for questions and sharing of best practices.

AFA's Government Relations department will bring you up to date on what is happening on the Hill.

Membership/Field - Monday
September 24 at 3:20 p.m.

AFA's Membership Committee will present a workshop which will feature best practices of successful chapters. These will include small to large chapters and chapters near AF bases as well as those not located near bases.

Integrated Aerospace Science Into A STEM Curriculum - Monday September 24 at 3:20 p.m.

Presented by the 2007 National Aerospace Teacher of the Year, this workshop will include a presentation on how integrating aviation and aerospace concepts into a middle school curriculum enhances learning in the STEM subject areas and student achievement on state standardized tests.
