AFA Awards 2009 Callahan Scholarship

AFA announces the selection of Air Force Captain Patrick Reimnitz for the 2009 Captain Jodi Callahan Memorial Graduate Scholarship. Captain Reimnitz serves as unit Education Officer for an AFROTC detachment, and is an instructor and mentor. In his personal and volunteer time, Reimnitz is a youth worker at his church, teaching and mentoring more than 40 students, and leading them in charity fundraising efforts, including the LA Food Bank and a ministry building homes for needy families in Mexico. Captain Reimnitz is pursuing a Master's degree in Theology at Loyola Marymount University, and plans to use that knowledge to help Airmen, perhaps in an official capacity such as chaplain or counselor. AFA awards the $1,000 Callahan Memorial Scholarship annually to deserving Air Force active duty, full time Guard or Reserve pursuing a non-technical Master's Degree.
