Wounded Airman Program
The Wounded Airman Program (WAP) began in 2013 when the Air Force Association (AFA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Air Force, officially establishing the program as a provider for wounded Airmen. Through this program AFA is able to support the Air Force Wounded Warrior Program (AFW2) through their Adaptive Sports Camps and the Annual Warrior Games by providing adaptive equipment, lifestyle items and on-site support. In addition to supporting AFW2, the WAP provides direct support to Airmen that are wounded, ill or injured, depending on their need. With more than 3,000 wounded, ill or injured Airmen on record, we need your support now more than ever!
While other military-related organizations offer similar funding, we have the unique opportnity to ensure that your donation will go directly to supporting wounded Airmen. 100% of donations designated to the Wounded Airman Program are used in direct support of wounded Airmen. The Wounded Airman Program is operated and administered by the Air Force Association, with overhead fees and staff times covered by AFA's general fun. Your donation matters and will help an Airman in need!
