AFA Shuttle Bus
AFA provides complimentary daily shuttle bus service on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
between the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center and the Pentagon (South
Parking-Fern St), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Joint Base Andrews, and King Street
Metro Station during the Conference. Please check back soon for the 2017 shuttle schedule.

There is plenty of parking available at the Gaylord and in National Harbor.
- Parking at the Gaylord - AFA has negotiated discounted self parking rates at the hotel (see below for details). Valet parking is available for up to $35 per day based on length of stay.
- For attendees staying at the hotel: The discounted self parking rate is $16 per day, which is 50% off their normal rate. During check-in at the front desk, please make sure to communicate to the front desk agent that you are parking a vehicle in order to get the charges added to your hotel folio. You MUST tell the front desk agent that you are with AFA in order to get the discounted self parking rate.
- For our local attendees not staying at the hotel: You can self-park at the Gaylord for $16 per day (for one entrance/exit per day) $21 per day (for unlimited entrances/exits per day). In order to take advantage of the $16 or $21 offer, you will need to stop by the Parking Desk located near AFA Registration during registration hours to pre-pay for your parking.
- Parking in National Harbor - There are several parking garages in National Harbor in close proximity to the Gaylord. The National Harbor public parking garages start with the first hour at $3 with incremental increases. The cost is $13 for 4 to 12 hours and $16 for 24 hours.

The Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) is the closest airport to the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center. Located only 9 miles north from the hotel. It departs every twenty minutes from Gaylord's front door and every twenty minutes from baggage claim between 6:00am and 8:00pm and costs $20 one-way and $35 roundtrip per person. For more information please click here. SuperShuttle's regular service is slightly cheaper; however, it could make additional stops and not go straight to your destination. The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) provides bus and subway
service (Metro) around the DC area. Unfortunately, at this time, there is not a
convenient Metro option near the hotel. AFA will run a free shuttle from/to the
King Street Station on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday during symposium hours. (**
