Executive Vice President
As the Executive Vice President for Air Force Association, Denise Hollywood serves as the association’s senior staff liaison with the Air Force for budgets, programs, systems, operations and legal issues. Additionally, she is responsible for outreach with stakeholders across the Air Force, Field organizations, and the aerospace industry.
Retiring as a lieutenant colonel, Hollywood spent 20 years in the Air Force. Her last assignment was as Chief of Protocol at US Pacific Command. In this capacity, she provided protocol advice to the Commander, US Pacific Command, in support of 6,000 distinguished visitor engagements per year. She built cross-functional relationships across the combatant command staff, Department of State, Department of Defense, foreign consulates and the local community to support the command’s engagement plan for the Pacific area of responsibility.
Hollywood received her Bachelor of Science degree in math and finance from Ithaca College, Ithaca, New York. She was commissioned through Reserve Officer Training Corps in 1986. She started her Air Force career in the space and missile operations arena and transitioned to Services/Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR). She commanded at the detachment level (Okuma Joint Services Recreation Facility, Okinawa, Japan) and at the squadron level (45th Services Squadron, Spangdahlem AB, Germany and 15th Services Squadron, Hickam AFB, HI). In addition, she held positions at the Major Command and Air Staff levels.
After retiring from the Air Force in 2007, Denise worked for the Institute for Defense Analysis, a Federally Funded Research Center (FFRDC), where she managed a $15M scientific research program for the research staff.
From 2008 – 2016, Hollywood worked for The Boeing Company in the Network and Space Systems, Strategic Missile & Defense Systems business division. During her tenure at Boeing, she held a variety of positions to include Customer and Market Engagement, Operations, Chief of Staff, and domestic and international Global Sales and Marketing.
Hollywood has a Master of Business Administration in marketing from the University of Colorado, and a Master of Arts degree in strategic studies from Air Command and Staff College.
Denise hails from New York City and resides in Alexandria, Virginia.
