Field Operations Update: June 2023

Field leaders are reminded that Chapter and State Semi-Annual Activity Reports are due to field@afa.org by July 31. If you are having difficulty completing your reports, please refer to our training modules for help. (And after reviewing a training module, don’t forget to complete the survey.) A technique I use is to complete the report throughout the reporting period. Don’t try to remember what you accomplished six months prior.  As you accomplish a mission, open the report and complete the entry.

As Vice Chairman, as I review reports, I notice some leaders are not very descriptive of their activities. If you hold an event, when you complete the report, include the date, where it occurred, who and how many attended, and what you did. I also recommend when you hold your ExCom meetings that you have a copy of your annual activity plan handy so you don’t forget to accomplish that mission. On my plans, I like to not only list what we want to accomplish and when, but include the name of the member who is responsible for coordinating the event.
