The Air Force Association announced today that the Aerospace Warfare Symposium (AWS) will be held virtually in 2021.

After carefully considering the current and projected state of the COVID-19 pandemic, guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and feedback from prospective speakers, attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, Airmen, and Space Professionals, AFA determined that trying to hold an in-person event on at its usual venue in Orlando is not viable.

“Once again, the COVID pandemic has made it impossible to host a safe, high-caliber, person-to-person networking event,” said AFA President, retired Lt. Gen. Bruce Wright. “Similar to our virtual Air, Space & Cyber Conference last September, our goal remains to continue AFA’s long tradition of hosting premier events for aerospace professionals around the world. Brand-new this year, our virtual Aerospace Warfare Symposium will host webinars on key Mission Domain areas with aviation industry leaders.”

vAWS2021 will run from Feb. 24 – 26 and include:

  • Three days of live, interactive, and on-demand discussions with Air Force, Space Force, and industry senior leaders on innovation and accelerating change;
  • Mission Domain Engagement Sessions where industry members will present products, services, innovations, and solutions to Airmen, Space Professionals, and systems integrators in a live, interactive format; and
  • A Mission Domain Hub where sponsors can participate in multiple mission domain areas to share images, videos, and white papers, and invite further interaction with attendees.

Details to register, exhibit, or sponsor at vAWS2021 will be available by mid-January on AFA’s website.
