The Air Force Association is renaming its Spring Conference the Aerospace Warfare Symposium, recognizing the criticality of projecting power in, from, and through both Air and Space in future military operations.

The change builds on AFA’s highly successful virtual Air, Space & Cyber Conference, held Sept. 14-16 with the theme “Aerospace Nation: Air, Space & Cyber Forces in the Fight.” The virtual event drew more than 10,000 registrants with speakers that included President Donald Trump, Defense Secretary Mark Esper, Air Force Secretary Barbara Barrett, the chiefs of both the Air and Space Forces, and other military, civilian, and industry leaders from across the Air and Space Forces and the aerospace industry. Such deep engagement among Air Force, Space Force, and aerospace industry leaders was unprecedented for a virtual event.

“With the launch of our new U.S. Space Force, all of AFA’s premiere events will now fully reflect our enduring and central commitment to our Space Force as well as our Air Force,” said AFA’s Chairman of the Board Gerald Murray. “Aerospace power is flexible, agile, responsive and incredibly effective. It is also evolving rapidly. All of us in AFA must do the same. Our renamed Aerospace Warfare Symposium will facilitate and strengthen the partnership between industry and our warfighters throughout the air, space, and cyber domains.”

AFA’s 2021 Annual Aerospace Warfare Symposium will be held February 24-26 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Hotel in Orlando, Fla. Registration is scheduled to open in early November. To learn more about sponsorship and exhibit opportunities, contact Fred Ullman at fullman@afa.org.
