Astranis was founded in 2015 in San Francisco, California to build and operate small communications satellites in geostationary orbit. Astranis manufactures and operates a line of MicroGEO spacecraft for regional broadband and broadcast services, utilizing their own proprietary software-defined radio (SDR) payload.
