The U.S. Air Force’s Athenas are commander-sponsored programs aimed at addressing female and family-centric barriers to success and readiness. AFA hosted a virtual panel discussion on June 9 with four Athena representatives from Air Combat Command, Air Force Special Operations Command, and the Air Reserve Component. They discussed everything from female fitment and postpartum fitness support to reintegrating personnel and families under the Air Force’s new deployment model.
