Chief Master Sgt. Stan Franklin of the Air Force Recruiting Service (AFRS) was coined and honored by AFA’s Northeast Texas Chapter 416 for his outstanding contributions in 2024 to the growth of AFA AIMS, AFA’s new recruiting initiative. The recognition took place during a presentation by former Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force JoAnne Bass to the 344th Recruiting Squadron’s leaders, recruiters, and over 30 delayed entry recruits and recent basic training graduates at the squadron’s headquarters.

Master Sgt. Zach Hill, President of AFA’s Northeast Texas Chapter 416, presented Franklin with a coin on behalf of AFA. The coin symbolized the achievements of the AFRS-AFA partnership in action, particularly the collaboration between AFA Chapter 416 and the 344th recruiting squadron.

“This coin represents the results of the work Chief Franklin has been a part of between our Air and Space Forces recruiters and AFA,” said Hill, “It’s a realized effort truly inspiring military service.”

Vance Clarke, Co-Chair of the AFA AIMS initiative, commended Franklin’s accomplishments during his Active-duty time with AFRS, noting his pivotal role in securing the initial partnership agreement, leading bi-weekly AFRS-AFA meetings, coordinating squadron interfaces, and orchestrating former CMSAF Bass’s November 6-7 visit

Franklin expressed gratitude for the recognition and reflected on the challenges and rewards of his involvement with the AFA AIMS effort. He noted that the initiative has great potential to build an influencer force that will inspire military service and contribute significantly to the nation’s recruiting efforts.

Franklin, who has been on Active-duty orders with AFRS for the past two years, will soon return to his primary position with the 149th Fighter Wing, Texas Air National Guard.
