AFA Advocates to Inspire Military Service

AFA Advocates to Inspire Military Service (AIMS) is a partnership between the Air & Space Forces Association and the U.S. Air Force Recruiting Service. AIMS connects AFA’s nationwide network of 200+ Chapters with AFRS’ 1,100 professional recruiters.

After the Air Force missed its Active-duty, Reserve, and National Guard recruiting goals in fiscal 2023, AFA established AIMS to help. In 2024, AFRS and the Air Force Accessions Center (AFAC) rebounded to surpass their goal—and things already look good for 2025.

AIMS is helping ensure their goals are met, by augmenting AFRS’s recruiters with an 125,000-member-strong AFA.

We are Airmen, Guardians, and Veterans.

We are advocates, educators, and supporters.

We are parents, spouses, and loved ones.

WE ARE ALL AIMS AMBASSADORS.

We have a story to tell, and an impact to make.

Together, we will inspire the next generation of Airmen and Guardians.

AFA Chapters & Members

Let local AFRS squadrons know you’re in their area—and have their back. Share your information and we’ll add you to our map of volunteers so recruiters can get in touch with you easily.

Whether it’s in a Rotary Club speech, a conversation with neighbors, or a career day at a school, AFA members need to have the latest information to advocate for military service. Use the AIMS Toolbox to become an effective influencer.

Parents & Loved Ones

Is your child, spouse, or loved one considering embarking on or is already on their Air Force or Space Force journey? AFA is ready to support them from their very first steps—and yours.

You’ll receive a complimentary three-year membership to AFA when you reach out, plugging you into a supportive community with education opportunities, support programs, and advocacy resources to help YOU be an ambassador for your Airman or Guardian.

Airmen & Guardians

Why did you join the Air Force or Space Force? What has your military career given you? What should the average American know about a life of military service?

Tell your story. As a living representative of the forces, your story can help reverse the trend of American youth who are increasingly ineligible for, uninterested in, and unaware of careers with the Air Force and Space Force.

Use #MyAirForceStory and #MySpaceForceStory on social media to broadcast your story, and tag the Air & Space Forces Association so we can repost it.
