AFA Elections | How to Vote

If you’re a credentialed voter, you will receive an email from our digital election platform which contains a link for each voter as well as a unique access key and password. Here’s what to expect.

Voting can done from any electronic device where you can receive emails and/or text messages. There will be election support available on-site at the National Convention if you choose to wait to cast your vote.

The window to submit your ballot is between 12:00am, Sunday, September 1 – Saturday, September 14 11:59pm EDT. After voting closes, you will no longer be able to electronically cast your vote.

Please note: Governance votes will be conducted at the National Convention by in-person Convention delegates as it has been done in the past. Electronic voting is only being used for the 2024 Board Elections outside of the National Convention.

Voting Troubleshooting

If your ballot link is not working or you experience any other issues during the new voting process, please contact elections@afa.org.

How do I know that I submitted by ballot correctly?

If you have submitted your ballot successfully, by hitting the “Submit” button at the bottom of your ballot, you will see a screen which will display your confirmation number. Also, it will trigger an email to you with that confirmation number. This will happen immediately after you submit. If you can’t find in your email, please look in your spam/trash folder. If not there, please contact elections@afa.org for assistance.

I want to change my vote. What should I do?

Contact elections@afa.org for assistance.

I missed the deadline to vote. What can I do?

Unfortunately, to ensure that all votes are submitted and validated on time, the deadlines are firm. If you miss the deadline, sadly you forfeit your right to cast a ballot and the electronic platform will close by the deadline (11:59pm EDT – Saturday, September 14).

I didn’t receive my email to vote. What should I do?

If you haven’t received your email to vote, and you’re a credentialed voter, check your email spam/junk folder. If that doesn’t work, contact elections@afa.org for solving your voting issue.

I am registered to attend the National Convention but did not receive my voting credentials. What should I do?

If you are listed on your State President’s roster as a credentialed voter, first check your email spam/junk folder. If that doesn’t work, you’ll have access to 24-hour support to the digital election platform support team in solving your voting issue with the digital election platform representative.

However, if you are not on the State President’s roster as an authorized voter, you would not receive an email to vote, nor have the ability to cast a ballot, unless you communicate with your State President to add you to the roster, presuming all the votes given to the State have not been used and that you pass the credentialling guidelines to vote.
