AFA Hosts ‘Space Force 101’ Briefing for Foreign Attachés

May 20, 2025

Arlington, Va. —  The Air & Space Forces Association (AFA) hosted a distinguished group of foreign military attachés on May 19 for a briefing designed to deepen understanding of the U.S. Space Force’s mission, organization, and strategic priorities.

The event, held at AFA headquarters, featured a “Space Force 101” session, an informative overview tailored specifically for the international defense community. The session was hosted by AFA’s Mitchell Institute Spacepower Advantage Center of Excellence Senior Resident Fellow for Space Studies Jennifer Reeves and Charles Galbreath, Senior Fellow for Space Studies.

Air Marshal Paul Godfrey, Assistant Chief of Space Operations for Future Concepts and Partnerships, kicked off the event with a discussion of the Space Force’s soon-to-be released international cooperation strategy, setting the stage for thoughtful engagement and dialogue among attendees.

“We we’re honored to host today’s briefing and to support stronger ties between the U.S. Space Force and our allied partners around the world,” Galbreath said.

The briefing provided attendees valuable context about how the Space Force supports U.S. national security objectives and collaborates with international allies to ensure space remains a safe, stable, and secure environment.

This engagement reflects AFA’s continued commitment to fostering global dialogue and advancing airpower and spacepower through advocacy, education, and support.
