Ten, who plans to join the Air Force, was instrumental in onboarding over 30 cadets in 2025 and taught more than 25 classes on CAP fundamentals, along with aircrew training for members over 18.
“His leadership and commitment set a high standard for others to follow,” said squadron commander Maj. Julie Demyonovich.
More than 110 cadets attended the squadron’s annual awards ceremony, along with dozens of parents and guests. The event highlighted the dedication and growth of young leaders preparing to serve their communities and the nation.
Steele Chapter Secretary Bob Hill represented the chapter and congratulated the cadets on being CAP members.
“The life skills you are learning, including discipline, teamwork, leadership, and problem solving, will serve you well whatever career path you may take,” Hill said.
This spring, the Steele Chapter has presented similar awards at two other CAP squadrons in Northern Virginia. These efforts reflect the chapter’s strong and growing partnership with CAP units across the region.
