AFA, First Sergeants Council Support Troops Deployed in Operation Epic Fury

May 18, 2026

With the support of AFA’s Mile High Chapter 127 in Colorado, the Air Force First Sergeant Council mobilized a global grassroots effort to deliver critical supplies to thousands of deployed service members abroad supporting Operation Epic Fury. The initiative began in early March 2026 after a sudden disruption to military and commercial supply chains left personnel without reliable access to essential items.

Responding to urgent requests from deployed members, First Sergeant Councils across every major command mobilized a global, grassroots effort to deliver critical supplies to Airmen and Guardians serving abroad.

The Mile High Chapter 127, with funding from AFA’s United Forces & Families program, awarded a $1,500 grant to the Mile High First Sergeant Council. These funds were sent directly to First Sergeant Councils to facilitate the purchase of supplies and other items in the local economy, where possible, providing immediate relief.

The effort highlights the agility and unwavering commitment of both communities to solve problems and ensure the well-being of service members, regardless of circumstances. The collaboration across commands and continents demonstrates the spirit of a network ready to answer the call at any time.
