AFA Colorado Chapters Support Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings at FALCON

October 29, 2026

The Air & Space Forces Association showed the strength of its Association Partnership with the Arnold Air Society & Silver Wings by supporting the Region VIII Regional Conclave at the U.S. Air Force Academy October 23-25, 2026.

The conclave, dubbed FALCON, kicked off with a Friday night mixer at the Academy’s Madera Cyber Innovation Center. Linda Aldrich, AFA Rocky Mountain regional president and Colorado state president, and Dave Geuting, state vice president and Lance P. Sijan Chapter president, joined Arnold Air Society & Silver Wings National Director Jimmy Canlas in welcoming cadets from Colorado, Wyoming, Kansas, Nebraska, and Utah. Over pizza, cadets got to know their peers from across the region.

Saturday was filled with business meetings in the Academy’s Arnold Hall; guest lectures by Maj. Gen. Erica Austin, mobilization assistant to the Judge Advocate General at Headquarters U.S. Air Force, and Dr. Damon Coletta, professor of political science at the Academy; and a tour of the 98th Flying Training Squadron. The day closed with a banquet at the Academy’s Falcon Club, where guest speaker Col. Max Renner, commander of Cadet Group 3, addressed attendees, and Arnold Air Society squadrons received awards for outstanding work. Aldrich and Geuting represented AFA again on Saturday, joined by Mel Hoarmon Chapter President Mike Sumida and Sijan Chapter Executive Vice President Ed Duffett.

FALCON was a resounding success and helped cement AFA’s commitment to the next generation of Air Force and Space Force officers and advocates.
