July 6, 2020 (Arlington, Va.) — AFA’s Air, Space & Cyber Conference is going virtual. The Air Force Association announced the decision today after carefully considering the current and projected state of the COVID-19 pandemic, guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, directives from the State of Maryland and Prince George’s County, and feedback from prospective speakers, attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, Airmen, and Space Professionals.

“This has been a very difficult decision for us to make, but we have come to the conclusion that there is no way to host a safe, high-caliber, in-person event,” said AFA President, retired Lt. Gen. Bruce Wright. “Our goal is to continue AFA’s long tradition of hosting the premier event for defense and aerospace professionals around the world. Our virtual Air, Space and Cyber conference will offer the same exceptional line-up of speakers, world-class exhibits, professional development opportunities, and networking opportunities for industry, government, media, academia, and the public.”

The virtual conference (vASC2020) will be held in mid-September and will include:

  • A multi-day conference with updates from Air and Space Force senior leaders as well as on-demand sessions covering topics on air, space, and cyber forces in the fight.
  • A virtual exhibit hall with options to meet with exhibitors and learn about the latest developments in aerospace and cyber technology.
  • A robust event platform offering attendees the opportunity to engage through virtual meetings with other attendees.

Details on registering, exhibiting, sponsoring and otherwise participating in vASC2020 will be available soon at www.afa.org.
