CyberPatriot and StellarXplorers August Update
August 30, 2024
These past few months the CyberPatriot and StellarXplorers staff focused primarily on camp execution, the upcoming move to 1201, and prepping for the new competition seasons. As a reminder, this summer there were 320 Cyber Camps and more than 30 Stellar Camps.
For this school year’s competitions, team registrations are ramping up as teachers gear up for the new school year. Learn more about the 2024-2025 CyberPatriot and StellarXplorer seasons.
One key difference in this year’s competition is that, due to changing corporate priorities, the international competitions in the United Kingdom, Japan, and Australia are discontinued. We are grateful for Northrup Grumman’s continuing funding for CyberPatriot.
For outreach, staff represented both CyberPatriot and StellarXplorers program offices at the orientation for new Air Force/Space Force JROTC instructors at Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala. As always, JROTC remains a key partner for both programs. For development, staff met with Blue Origin’s Club for the Future, which is very interested in having their 5,000 volunteers serve as mentors. Staff also is hosting a VTC with interested mentors later this summer. In addition, they met with Tensley Consulting, a long-time partner for AFA activities in Colorado, about mentoring teams as well as possibly becoming a CyberPatriot sponsor.
