May 6, 2025
AFA’s E.W. Rawlings Chapter in Minnesota gathered at the Commemorative Air Force Museum in South Saint Paul, Minn., on April 17 to participate in AFA’s annual, global Doolittle Raiders Memorial Toast. Members of the CAF-MN Wing Museum took part in the Chapter’s ceremony, which commemorated the 83rd anniversary of the Doolittle Raid in Tokyo.
Chapter President Roman Hund collaborated with members of the CAF-MN Wing Museum to make the chapter’s toast possible by providing the chapter with the Museum Officer’s Club. Chapter Vice President of Community Relations Timothy Uecker gave a short presentation about the history of the Doolittle Raid and its significance before AFA’s livestream began.
The assembly gathered for a photo with “Miss Mitchell,” a B-25J which served in the 310th Bomb Group, 57th Bomb Wing of the 12th Air Force in North Africa and Italy, which was once under the command of then-Brig. Gen. Jimmy Doolittle.
