80 Years of AFA
AFA was founded on February 4, 1946, to advocate for an independent Air Force and to ensure airpower remained foundational to our national defense—and 80 years later, we have much to be proud of.
Join us on February 9 as we go back in time to the Association’s founding and explore 80 years of AFA chronicles: from how AFA led the fundraising and construction of the Air Force Memorial, to our hand in creating the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force role, and beyond. The conversation will feature insights and histories from:
- JoAnne Bass, Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force #19
- Tom McKee, AFA National President & Chairman from 1998-2002 and sole-surviving founding trustee of the Air Force Memorial
- Ken Goss, AFA historian and voice of AFA conferences for 42 years
- Linda McMahon, President of AFA’s Central East Region
The event moderator is Kathleen Ferguson, AFA Board Chair.
No registration is required. The livestream will begin at 1:00 p.m. ET. Click here to join.
