Small and mid-size companies developing technologies, products, or services relevant to air, space, or national defense. Companies must be operational and able to demonstrate real-world relevance or traction.
Is there a cost to apply?
No. There is no fee to submit an application.
Does my company have to be an AFA Corporate member to apply?
No, your company does not have to be an AFA Corporate member to apply for the “Ones To Watch” distinction.
How are companies selected?
Applications are evaluated using a standardized scoring framework. Final selections are made independently by the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies.
Is this a paid award or sponsorship program?
No. Selection as a "Ones To Watch" is a distinction based on merit. Optional amplification opportunities may be available after selection, but they are not required and have no impact on the selection process.
How many companies are selected each year?
A limited cohort is selected annually to ensure the distinction remains meaningful and competitive.
When will applicants be notified?
Selected companies will be notified directly following completion of the review process. Not all applicants will be selected, and submission does not guarantee designation.
