Wilsbach Briefs AFA Board of Directors

June 18, 2026

Arlington, Va., June 18, 2026 — Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. Ken Wilsbach visited the Air & Space Forces Association National Offices to brief AFA’s Board of Directors on his priorities and service updates June 17.

“I want to thank you all for the support you provide the Air Force and Space Force every day,” Wilsbach told the Board.

Wilsbach said he remains focused on readiness, modernization, taking care of Airmen and their Families, and on ensuring the funding needed to meet those obligations.

Taking questions from Board members, Wilsbach offered insight into the budget process, deployments, operations, aircraft procurement, and future capabilities—all topics tied to AFA’s current legislative priorities.

“We appreciate Gen. Wilsbach’s candid engagement with our Board and his assessment of current and future Air Force needs,” said Kathleen Ferguson, AFA Chair of the Board. “AFA has advocated for dominant air and space power for 80 years, since before the Air Force and Space Force existed as independent services, and we will continue to do so long into the future. As we at AFA map out our strategic plans for the future, his insight is both timely and valuable to our 350,000 members and the Airmen, Guardians, Family members, and civilians that keep our Air Force and Space Force strong.”
