Gaylord National is the cornerstone of National Harbor, located in Maryland just across the Potomac River from Washington, DC and Virginia. The resort is the largest combined resort and convention space on the East Coast. It is a breathtaking venue that offers several dining and shopping options. Some highlights about the property include:

The AFA discounted rate is $295 single/double per night plus amenity fee and applicable taxes. Gaylord has very limited availability remaining at this time. To guarantee your reservation, you will need to provide a credit/debit card to the hotel for your deposit of one night’s room and tax when you book online or by phone. To cancel your reservation, you must contact the hotel ten days prior to arrival. If you cancel less than ten days prior to arrival, you will forfeit your deposit of one night’s room and tax. Please make your reservations now while rooms are still available at the AFA discounted group rate. Reservations will be accepted on a first-in basis until the block is full or until Wednesday, August 21, 2019.

GOVERNMENT PER DIEM RATE 

NOTE REGARDING THIS RATE:  AFA’s Government Per Diem rate sleeping rooms are available to only uniformed Military Personnel and DoD Civilians or Foreign Attachés with a dependent ID Card. You will be asked to show a valid ID when you check into the hotel.  AFA will audit reservations; you will be contacted if you are not eligible.  If you do not have a valid active duty/DOD government ID at check-in, you will be charged the prevailing rate at the time of check-in. Unfortunately, due to AFA’s limited number of sleeping rooms at this rate, Retired Military and Government Contractors are not eligible for this rate.

The Gaylord National is pleased to extend the government per diem rate of $251.00 single/double per night to those that qualify based on the above paragraph, plus applicable taxes. In order to make a reservation at the government per diem rate, you must first register for the Air, Space & Cyber Conference. At the end of the registration process, your Internet browser will display a registration confirmation page. Click on the reservation link under "Hotel Reservations" and then input the appropriate information. To guarantee your reservation, you will need to provide a credit/debit card to the hotel when you book online or by phone. To cancel your reservation without penalty, you must cancel your reservation ten days prior to arrival. If you cancel less than ten days prior to arrival, your credit/debit card will be charged a one night’s room and tax penalty. Please make your reservations now while rooms are still available at the government per diem rate. Reservations will be accepted on a first-in basis until the block is full or until Wednesday, August 21, 2019.

If you are not able to book your desired dates, overflow properties are available under "Hotel Reservations."

DELEGATE RATE FOR OFFICIAL AFA DELEGATES 

To receive the special discounted rates for delegates, you must first register as a delegate to the Convention. Please register as a delegate only if you have been selected by your AFA state president, as state delegations are coordinated through the state presidents. If you have no state organization, please contact your chapter or region president.

Please make your reservations now to ensure you get the special delegate discounted rates. Reservations will be accepted on a first-in basis until the block is full or until Monday, August 19, 2019 by noon, whichever comes first. To reserve your hotel room, you must first register for the Convention/Conference. At the end of the registration process, your internet browser will display a registration confirmation page. Click the ‘click here’ link within the Hotel Reservation section that appears below your registration summary and then provide the appropriate information.

NOTE: Do not call the hotel directly; the method outlined here is the only avenue available for you to make your hotel reservation at this rate. Please also note that this rate can be extended only to convention delegates.
